Error: You get a black screen instead of the OS GUI loading up


This will change the graphics setup during the GRUB2 loadup


Re-install the Lubuntu ISO image. This is due to corrupt system. You may also use “fsck” to help resolve this issue if you see your OS starting to put this out when you choose certain directories.


Failure To Download Extra Data Files Message







Make: [Terminal]
Error: make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found.  Stop.

Fix: sudo apt-get install make


Configure [Terminal] *Using PYGTK*
Error: When I ran ” ./configure ” to get the make file, this er
checking for PYGTK… no
configure: error: You need pygtk >=2.4 and the appropriate development headers to proceed

Fix: sudo apt-get install python-gtk2-dev

sudo apt-get install build-essential
sudo apt-get build-dep xserver-xorg-video-intel


Error: Configure Error: You Must Have GTK+ 2.10.0 Or Newer Develpment Headers Installed

Fix:  sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-dev


Error: Min/Max/Close Buttons are missing from Openbox Windows Manager



Temporary Fix: openbox –replace *Do this in terminal to fix Openbox*

[This is a temporary remedy for the Openbox issue only]

Permament Fix: You will need the Lubuntu Iso to perform this fix! [Either Issue]
